Serious Scented Votive
Date:August 22, 2012
This is one serious votive. Even with two windows open, it fills the room with a modern original fragrance. Autumn spices with the warmth of an Indian summer. It's a perfect sample size.

Because few places are as dark and captivating as the forest. Patchouli leaves, warm sandalwood and red cedar form a gently smoldering base of sweet herb and resinous sap. Ceylon cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and Bourbon vanilla add a soft layer of comforting spice. Above, a lingering note of Valencia orange shines pure and bright.

A New Fall Classic
Date:August 21, 2012
When the sugar maples along the Massachusetts Turnpike start turning crimson and the local bittersweet berries begin to bolt their bright orange, it's time for fall. I came home today and immediately started a Bitter Orange and Cedar candle. The fragrance is perfect, even on this late August evening, long before the end of summer olive leaves of the oaks turn to brown and the beeches become golden. For us, autumn is less an exact date on a calendar or a period of time. It is a season of change, transition and traditions. It starts when we choose to welcome the change. This fragrance wonderful. It has the depth of autumn woods and the richness of seasonal spices without being common and predictable. It is both clean and musky. It is like reaching for your favorite sweatshirt on the first chilly morning in late September: comforting and familiar with a wave of nostalgia. Autumn is here.

Subtle yet sumptuous, this richly scented candle kindles the warmth of brandied pumpkin, comforting spices, honeyed amber and ancient woods. Burns cleanly and casts a welcoming aura even when unlit. Beautifully boxed with hand-touched details for an ideal aromatic candle gift.

Classic and modern but vintage
Date:August 20, 2012
Growing up, my grandmother always made pumpkin pie from an old family recipe. It was what I looked forward to the most at Thanksgiving. This candle brings me back to being young and hiding the leftover pie in the fridge to save for breakfast the following morning, a custom I still do all these years later. The frangrance has the right balance of pumpkin spice and warm woods. There is a rich depth to the fragrance. It is fall and falling leaves, carrying firewood and simmering spices. When you smell it for the first time there is an immediate recollection of autumn and memories past. And then there is a celebration of customs and traditions yet to come.
