I cannot wear potent, flowery or heavy scents and also don't like them. Several years back I tried Olive Leaf Cologne and continue till today as it is light, clean and fresh and everyone always asks what I am wearing.
Also, it doesn't leave residue on my clothing. Try it, you'll love it.
